We are running Exchange servers as Virtual servers. We have a DR site were the storage is getting replicated (Virtual servers are located in SAN) and DR plan is in case of a disaster power on the Servers in the DR site. DR site itself is a seperate AD site and has local GC server in DR. So once the servers power on at DR we have to change the IP addresses of the exchange servers to match the new site IPs. We havent tested this solution in a real test scenario because currenlty we do not have a fall back plan or process in place now. We have tested powering on the server in DR and they come online without any issues. But didnt tested changing the IP, connecting clients etc.

So my question is once the exchange servers get a new IP addresses and come online in the new site, will there any additional configurations required? will the server automatically communocate with the new Global catalog servers in the site and users can access the mail box without any issues. Will the CAS and HUB servers work as normal how it was in the previouse site. Mail box server is stand alone server.

I don't think that this is the correct way to do that for Mailbox servers, it might work for HUB/CAS but not for MBX. I will highly recommend using SCR to do it.

you will need to change the MX/OWA records and make sure that DNS updates are propagated so clients connect.
