Opera released an update for its browser that includes seven security fixes, all of which are documented except for one.

The fixes correct problems with crashes upon startup, iframe content addresses, shortcuts, SSL detection in iframes, links to feed source files and feed addresses, and a cross-site scripting problem. The latter is undocumented and Opera said that it will release details at a later date. The delay is presumably meant to protect people from attacks while a solution is widely deployed.

Details of the documented vulnerabilities are available in the release notes for Opera 9.52.

The new version also fixes non-security problems, such as several bugs that interface with the proper display of multimedia content among others. The new version also provides fixes for news, mail, and chat related problems. Opera 9.52 is available for download at the company's web site.
