Many books about Active Directory (AD) and Windows 2000 Server discuss AD delegation, but few do so in depth. The resources listed here offer additional information about AD delegation and might prove useful.

BOOKS
  • Microsoft's MCSE exam #70-219, Designing a Microsoft Windows 2000 Directory Services Infrastructure, covers the topic of delegation. Any study guide for this exam will provide basic information about AD delegation.
  • Alistair G. Lowe-Norris's Windows 2000 Active Directory (O'Reilly & Associates, 2000) devotes an entire chapter to AD delegation, which can serve as a helpful introduction.
  • Microsoft Consulting Services' Building Enterprise Active Directory Services: Notes from the Field (Microsoft Press, 2000) offers a good discussion of some commonly delegated tasks in the configuration context.
