Q: I imported my wildcard SSL certificate into my IIS installation. When I try to use it, I get an error saying that the logon session doesn't exist. What do I do?

A: I recently imported my wildcard certificate for savilltech.com and tried to link it to a site by editing the binding of the site in IIS manager. When I did, I got the error "A specified logon session does not exist. It may already have been terminated," as shown here:

The problem is that IIS wants access to the private key. So the solution is to make sure you make the certificate exportable when you import it onto the IIS server.
