Q: If I'm using the Advanced Group Policy Management console that's part of Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack, which computers need to be licensed for MDOP?

A: The Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM) console installs on your Group Policy console machines; however, it’s actually licensed based on the number of machines that utilize Group Policy settings that are managed by AGPM.

Unless you have very specific controls in place to make sure you use AGPM only to manage policies for a set of machines that are MDOP-licensed, all machines in your domain need to be covered by MDOP
