A. We had a record amount of snow here in Allen, Texas recently, and I took some pictures of a nearby wood. I thought it would make a nice panoramic photo, so I took a series of five photographs.
When taking photos for a panoramic photo, make sure you keep elevation the same and have some overlap between each picture.
I installed Windows Live Photo Gallery and imported my pictures. I then selected the photos I wanted in the panoramic picture and selected the Create panoramic photo action, as shown here.

Photo Gallery will scan the pictures, look for overlapping features, and even rotate images three-dimensionally to make the pictures blend together. The final panoramic picture will be displayed, as shown here.

Because the pictures are bent and skewed, the top and bottom of the pictures will not be straight when generating a consistent picture. The next step is to crop the picture (and to remove annoying children ruining the pretty landscape :-) ), as shown below.
