What about the ISS Proventia series or the Check Point solutions?? Is this just another article that is sponsored by Cisco that will conclude with Cisco being selected as the writers b"Best Pick"?? Bottom line is routers route, switches switch, and firewalls protect. Stay focused on security devices that were built specifically as firewalls and not routers with add-on security capabilities.]]>

Anouther solution not looked at but should have been is Checkpoint. Checkpoit offers low security environment solutions with it’s Safe@office series or edge series appliences. Cisco make great Network equipment but leave alot to be desired in the firewall security market. Symantec also makes great Anti-virus solutions but Firewalls are buggy at best.]]>
