For Query in No3 "past three quarters" will this Query below also work?.It looks more simple. with set [LastQuarter] as tail(Filter([Time].[Quarter].MEMBERS,[Time].CurrentMember),3) -- 'Tail(Filter([Time].[Quarter].Members, Not IsEmpty([Time].CurrentMember)),1)' select [LastQuarter] on COLUMNS, Non Empty Union(Descendants([Food], [Product].[Brand Name] ), Descendants( [Drink], [Product].[Brand Name] )) on ROWS from Sales]]>

When I change the filter condition to "> 0" from ’= 0" and drop the Topcount, I see only customers that are single and female. (Kinda what I would expect). Then change it back to "> 0" and I see the other possible combinations (Married and Female or Single and Male, etc) and single and female if the unit sales is null. Doesn’t make sense. Can someone give me a better explanation for this behavior. Thanks, Jeff]]>

Is there an event model that fires these "Analysis Services Actions"? From what I gather from the article, you can fire the action from the cube browser accompanying the server by right-clicking (onContextMenu?) at the leaf level, or at the client through custom programming. Is this the beginning of Triggers, such as there are in SQL Server’s relational database? The example of displaying additional information through html is definitely a good example, but I would suggest that we may be putting business logic in the wrong location of an n-tier system. Unless there is an event model associated with SERVER actions, I see this as functionally equivalent to running the same action you would normally have as the recipient of an event, only that parameters passed to that event are the results of an MDX statement.]]>
