Sure sync is great if you don’t need bit level replication. However if you are backing up data across a 56k modem as many travelling employees do than it loses its luster.]]>

I would like to provide additional information regarding SDS. SDS does support variable substitution. Five variables are automatically substituted when a Distribution Job is installed: Username, Computername, Windows Directory, System Directory, and the Profile Directory. These variables are substituted for all changes, including registry changes. Installation Logs are recorded locally on the PC as well as being written to a central database. The latest version of SDS (4.04) also offers a "TSR" mode. In this mode, the program constantly checks for Distribution Jobs while displaying only an icon in the system tray.
