Conquer Active Directory’s Built-In Limitshttp://www.windowsitpro.com/article/ldap/conquer-active-directory-s-built-in-limits#commentsAnchorWed, 06 Sep 2006 13:58:00 GMT
This is very very very bad advice. The limit should never be changed. In fact M$ was very leinent with the limt at 1000. The limit can be bypassed by the programmer making use of the pagedresults api.. If you really want to see more than 1000 objects use a better ldap browser/editor like www.ldapeditor.com. Its free and its gunna save you from killing your AD with huge querries]]>

Tony, it is possible to increase the buffer size in ADSI Edit as well. Highlight the domain node and select View > Filter. The default maximum listed here is 10,000, just increase this number.]]>

Excelent article!!! But... "...designating the Infrastructure Master as a GC isn’t a good idea..." if all the domain controllers on that Infrastructure domain (not on the forest but on the domain) are not GC´s, right ?]]>
