Chris Betlach is the IT manager at HaldemanHomme, where he manages 115 end users, 17 servers, 55 laptops, 27 desktops, and 33 thin clients. He specializes in Windows OSs (server and client), Active Directory, Group Policy, networking, firewalls, Citrix, Cisco Call Manager, Visual Basic, Exchange, and SQL Server. Although HaldemanHomme spans across 13 states with 11 remote offices, Betlach centrally manages the IT systems from a data center in Minneapolis. Because he's a one-man IT shop, Betlach is always looking for ways to automate tasks with Group Policy Objects, scripting, and programming. He has developed custom applications that simplify processes and reduce costs. He also uses open source software whenever possible. Betlach has A+, Net+, and MCP certifications.
