A. To supply certain government agencies with software, Microsoft can't include undocumented features, including Easter eggs, in its software. As a result, no Easter eggs exist in XP.

Okay GUYS wow. Alright well, I dont know if anybody remembers, because it was like a year ago, but if you open the C: drive, and you open your windows directory, there are two files in there that are going to blow your mind. NOW, i bet everyone thinks i'm going to mention the dumb clock.avi, or the 0.log or 0.txt or whatever,And i am. WOW these files are great. the people that jerk off to them are weird, but yeah, they're really great easter eggs, my uncle is bill gates and he told me that when i grow up, i can put my own easter egg in XP.I told him i didnt really know what to put in, and he said if i thought of something i could, so i think i'm going to put a 1.log, like someone said, so that it can just have a 1 in it, and people will think its used for something, but really it wont be, and if you scroll down for like, 2 years, it will say happy easter at the bottom.I hope you guys think thats a cool egg, because i think it will be in the 2010 version of windows xp. Anyway guys, another cool couple of easter eggs:- Click my computer- Click C: drive- Click windows- click either clock.avi or 0.logYeah, those are like the coolest easter eggs ever, because you get to see a clock, but its not a normal clock! most clocks count down from 10, but this one starts at twelve. I think it has something to do with the strike that happened while XP was being made. Anyway, the 0.log thing, whenever you click the zero button on the calculator in windows XP (another easter egg - calculator) it calls thats file to see what it should put in. I thought it was neat, but really DONT delete the 0 file, because then your calculator stops working, and making a new file called 0 in there wont help either.Really though, i hope everyone has heard of this next easter egg.Its a little 12 second animation called clock.avi that the windows producers put in because they thought it would be a good laugh. It really was, AWESOME JOB GUYS *applause*! =) =) =) =) =)!

Wow this forum has been going for a while, and no real easter eggs found, well here's one for ya; In Paint Open an image and select the magnifying glass icon. Left-Click exactly on the line below the 8x. and you will get a 10x zoom :-) and paint comes part of XP as standard so Technically its an XP egg. (if its on the XP inst disk, its an XP egg!).
A note to the people who believe that its impossible to create a folder named "con"try this: md \\\\.\\c:\\\\con
there is real Easter egg in Windows Xp just try to rename any fild as "fat dick.txt" and open it it come you will see some coding in it, It does not work every time and also dont work with any service pack.
