1. Remove any unnecessary DNS entriesfor systems

2. Obfuscate any DNS entries that you don't want the general public to access

3. Enable PPTP filtering on your RAS/PPTP server

4. Implement a firewall

5. Use private IP addresses for your internal network, if feasible

6. Rename the NT administrator account, and disable the guest account

7. Use NT's account security policies, and increase them if necessary

8. Evaluate all privileged accounts used for NT service processes; change any obvious names or passwords

9. Install Service Pack 3
