Terrible misinformation. vmWare does not deliver Mainframe class systems. Neither does vmWare offer partitioning. ESX does _NOT_ run without an Operating System, ESX is the Kernel OS and an OEM version of RedHat offers a management Interface.
vmware Workstation compares with the old Connectix Virtual PC product, The MS product compares with vmwareGSX, vmware ESX is several years ahead of MS...
