Database Upgrades

My company uses two Microsoft Access 97 databases to log bugs and customer complaints. We can't locate the consultant who built these databases. We need to upgrade the databases to Access 2000, but we don't have the administrator password. What can we do?

I hadn't encountered this problem before, but I did find a workaround. Open Access 2000 and create a new database. From the menu bar, select Tools, Options. On the View tab, select the Hidden Objects and System Objects check boxes and click OK. Next, from the menu bar, select File, Get External Data, Import, then choose one of your Access 97 databases. You should see a view of that database's forms, macros, and reports. Select all these items and import them into your new Access 2000 database.
