1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
2. Double-click Plug and Play.
If you receive a Configuration Manager message, click OK.
3. In the Startup Type list, click Automatic, and then click OK.
4. Close Services.
5. Restart the computer.

same problem here, winxp shows blank device manager, in addition, my registry shows tons of nonsence entries under "\\enum\\root\\legacy_rasman

i have the same problem, im still alerted when i add a device. im on windows xp, amd athlon 64 3000+ ~2.0 GHz, radeon 9600xt 256mb, 1 gb of ram. cany ideas? almost seems completely normal except i can't install one or two things like ati catalyst now.

Interesting...I just spent an hour on the phone with Dell, and no luck for me either. My Network Connections is also blank. Strange thing is that everything still works!
