The components of VMware’s vSphere are organized differently than those in Microsoft System Center Management Suite. VMware’s vSphere Suite is organized by feature. VMware describes vSphere as the industry’s first cloud OS, and it’s designed to enable IT administrators to build internal or external virtual cloud infrastructures. You can find more information about vSphere at VMware's website.

vSphere’s components include the following:
VMotion. Protects against planned downtime by moving VMs between hosts with no interruption of end-user services.
Distributed Resource Scheduler. Monitors resource utilization across the virtual infrastructure and uses VMotion to move and optimize workloads.
High Availability. Protects against unplanned downtime by restarting failed VMs on alternate hosts.
Fault Tolerance. Protects against unplanned downtime by keeping a shadow VM in lockstep with the primary VM.
Data Recovery. Backs up VMs and can allow file-level restores for Windows guests.
Update Manager. Updates hosts and VM guest OS with paths and updates.
VSafe. APIs that enable integrated third-party virus scanning.
Storage VMotion. Enables moving VM files between different storage locations with no downtime.
