Adowek, it may be a bit too late for you but I think you are trying to restore to a fat or fat 32 filesystem, which won't support file sizes larger than 2gb, reformat the disk to use NTFS, and the restore should be fine

I am restoring a database that is over 4 GB. I have set that up via stored procedure to restore and then to add a user and set the attributes. The restore fails when the backup fike is over a 2 GB. THe MDF and LDF files are created but the database is not accessible. What could be causing this. If the backup file is less then 2 GB it rstores fine.
