In the wake of Windows 2000 come dreaded changes to MCSE certification. Jamie Flerlage's "The Object of the MCSE Game" (March 2001), which emphasizes the importance of developing a smart game plan before you enter the certification game, is very informative. When I first heard about the Windows 2000 MCSE track, I was fired up to get my certification. After a lot of reading and conversations with experienced MCSEs, I realized that studying and attending classes wouldn't be enough. Now, I plan to incorporate hands-on experience with studying to obtain my MCSE. This strategy should make me more attractive to future employers.
