Australian IT Pros that are on the fence about attending this year's TechED on Queensland's Gold Coast have been given an additional incentive: A free HP Mini 2140 Notbook PC pre-loaded with Windows 7.

IT Pro evangelist Jeff Alexander stated in his blog: The idea is that delegates will open the laptop at TechEd when they receive it and the machine will go through a Lite Touch Deployment of Windows 7 and the applications we include plus give you a chance to choose from a list of additional applications. We think that developers and IT Pro’s might not choose the same applications so we want to give you a choice.

The offer is open to all TechED delegates who have paid for tickets, but will not be available to sponsors, exhibitors or volunteers at the event. If you are an Aussie that is on the fence about going to TechED this year, you better get off your backside because tickets are going fast!
