You find them on the Contact Us page of virtually every Web site—email addresses such as sales@mycompany.com, info@mycompany.com, and support@mycompany.com. You can put such addresses to work in your company or organization. You just need to add a mailbox to Microsoft Exchange Server and give various people access to the incoming messages.

Good article - however I need to achieve this on an Exchange 2003 box so the folder Agent thing is not relevant. How do I do the equivalent scripting on an Exchange 2003 box to achieve the functionality you describe? If I manually use a form it achieves the From and bcc functions but I would like what you describe to be the case.
Thanks in advance,
Cheers
Si

GREAT article and exactly what I am trying to achieve!
How do I get this to work in Exchange 2003? I can not get the Agents tab up. I have tried adding server scripting etc as described in other articles but cannot see it. Is this not possible in Outlook/Exchange 2003?

chairman, I'd recommend that you use the event sink from http://www.ivasoft.biz/cmclass.shtml that anonymous suggested for Exchange 2003. You'll get improved performance for an event sink over a script and won't need to go through the steep learning curve of learning to build an event sink yourself.

Great Article and exactly what I need. How do I get this to work in Exchange 2003, Outlook 2003?

If you're running Exchange 2000/2003, you could use this third-aprty application (Exchange event sink) instead of Sue's event script:

Rod Hendricks: Would you be willing to elaborate more on how you got this to work in Exchange 2k3? How did you enable the script?

I don't get the agents tab to appear on Outlook/Exchange/SBS 2003. I got the service running, got all the needed rights, activated the add-in but the agents tab just won't appear - anybody any ideas what I might have missed?

I'm a newbie Exchange administrator trying to use this info -- we are all Exchange 2000 (no remnants of 5.5 at all). I do NOT have an agents tab available on my public folder, but I DO have server scripting turned on. How do I accomodate the scripts?

I have managed to get this to work under ex2k/o2k3 after 12 painful hours. Two things i remembered that tripped me up:

1. Could not send as/on behalf of. Solution: do not let outlook's recipient cache fill in the smtp address in the from field as you type; only type in the alias, and let the gal resolve it.
2. Could not add forms to Organization. Solution: Toggle view of System Folders, and give myself permissions to the "Organization Forms" in ESM.

I am using Exchange server v5.5 and am unable to find the permissions tab to update the "send as" permission. Am I doing something wrong?
