Do you have clear idea of who in your IT department has access to what data or who controls various business processes for your organization? Do you know who has the overall knowledge of how applications and business processes relate, or who defines the tools, techniques and standards for building or integrating applications in general? In other words, how clear is your picture of your IT infrastructure?
I think these are interesting questions and so do the folks at The Register. They're conducting a survey to determine some of these answers, and I wanted to share the link to the survey so you can participate.
