A new Egyptian library, on the same spot as the original Bibliotheca Alexandrina (Library of Alexandria) that Egyptian ruler Ptolemy I Soter built more than 2000 years ago, is being stocked with an interesting array of titles. The revived library will feature a handwritten 7th-century Koran, the Bible, and . . . a Microsoft Excel 2000 manual. The library will eventually hold 4 million to 8 million books. No word yet on whether any other Microsoft user manuals will make the cut.
