Oracle CEO Larry Ellison has received bemused responses to his claims about the "unbreakable" Oracle9i database and application server products. And apparently, even the folks at Oracle weren't too excited when Ellison first presented the idea (which has since become the product's official tag line). "Are you crazy?" one executive reportedly asked Ellison. "Why don't you just invite all hackers to just stop what they are doing and attack our sites?" Ellison, as always, had a response. "Everybody from the Soviet Union to Redmond, Washington, is going to be attacking our site," he said. "Microsoft's Xbox comes with a special 'send a billion messages to Oracle' spam game." The joke's on Ellison: Since his announcement, Oracle9i has been hacked successfully several times.
