In addition to numerous other types of phishing protection, Cyveillance recently added support to help protect Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) messaging to its anti-phishing service. The company said that criminals send text messages to mobile phones in an effort to entice the recipient into visiting a malicious Web site or download malicious mobile Web content.

"As criminals explore these new outlets for distributing malicious content and stealing personal information, organizations need to aggressively monitor for these threats before they impact customer safety and confidence," said Panos Anastassiadis, CEO and Chairman of Cyveillance.

The company also announced that its Cyveillance Malware Protection solution recently received the 2007 product of the year award from Communications Solutions, a publication owned by Technology Marketing Corporation. The award was given for "excellence in the advancement of voice, data and/or video communications" according to a company press release.
