In the article, I mentioned that sometimes it's the unexpected feature your customers decide is a worthwhile reason to support your infrastructure upgrade. For example, site-costing in DFS can be a big plus for a large DFS upgrade. I'd like to know--what do you feel is an underappreciated gem of a feature, good enough to help sell your upgrade?

    Hi Sean,

we were quite excited about "Volume Shadow Copy", and we are using it on all our file servers. The experiented that most of the calls we got regarding file restore were dealing with files that were lost or deleted within the last 2 days ("...I had the file yesterday, but now its gone..."). Instead of searching the correct DLT tape, putting it into the library in the DataCenter, then doing the restore, users can now search for previous versions of files by themselves. This saved our helpdesk a lot of restore calls, and users are excited that they can bring back older versions of files so fast and by themselves.
