New Scripting Console

We use the JavaScript console in Netscape Communicator to debug JavaScript errors. This console lets you type JavaScript code in one line (i.e., you must properly delimit multiple statements and block statements using semicolons and brackets). Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 5.0 includes a scaled-down version of this console. The IE script console lets you execute small scripts from the address bar of the browser. This console supports both JavaScript and VBScript, whereas the Netscape console supports only JavaScript. And, unlike the Netscape console, the IE script console doesn't open a new window. However, you can use the IE script console to run only small scripts, and you can't use it to test block statements.
