Why am I being blocked by spid -1? I am not able to kill it and have to restart SQL Server to get around it.

A. This is a bug found on stressed SQL 6.5 systems with SP4 or 5a installed. Contact Microsoft PSS for hotfix build 466 or above to resolve this problem. The fix will also be in SP6 (when released).
