The UAC (User Account Control) feature in Windows Vista causes members of the local administrators group to run like ordinary users, without administrative privileges. When additional privileges are required, they are prompted to use them.

You can disable this feature, if needed in your environment:

1. Open a CMD.EXE window.

2. Type the following command and press Enter:

REG ADD HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /V EnableLUA /T REG_DWORD /F /D 0
3. You must restart your computer for the change to become effective.
