With 83 percent of the vote, Microsoft Visio Standard 2002 won Best Workflow Solution by a landslide. Reader Daniel Mullikin seemed to speak for most voters when he asked, "There's something out there besides Visio?" (The product's professional version won for Best Network Layout and Design tool, page 42.)

Visio provides diagramming solutions that help users visually document and share ideas and information. Visio users can quickly assemble diagrams by using predefined shapes, and the product has a plethora of diagrams for every use: flowcharts, organization charts, time lines, office layouts, and more. Users can generate diagrams from data stored in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Project and can create and revise Visio diagrams from within other Microsoft Office programs. Our readers loved Visio's ease of use and integration with Office applications and Active Directory (AD).
