New Thunderbird Release Fixes 8 Security Problems

Mozilla released Thunderbird 2.0.0.16 to fix 8 security problems, all of which are rated as moderate or low risks.

According to release notes published by the company, 6 of the problems are moderate risks that include the potential for intruders to launch arbitrary code or spoof certificate information. Two other problems, rated as low risk, involve issues with memory management problems.

The new version is available for download at the company's website.
