To workaround this behavior:

01. Log on locally with Administrator privileges.

02. Use the registry Editor to grant the your account Full Control of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SECURITY\Policy\Secrets\$MACHINE.ACC registry key.

03. Delete the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SECURITY\Policy\Secrets\$MACHINE.ACC registry key.

04. Shutdown and restart your computer.

05. Log on locally with Administrator privileges.

06. Join a WORKGROUP and restart your computer.

07. Log on locally with Administrator privileges.

08. Join your domain.

09. Shutdown and restart your computer.

10. Logon to your domain.
