PlayStation 3 Details, Pricing Emerge

We're still at the rumor stage here, but according to the latest issue of PlayStation Magazine, Sony's upcoming PlayStation 3 will sell for about $399 in the United States when it launches in November—a price that's far below many estimates (and the same as the high-end Xbox 360). There are some other new details about the PlayStation 3, as well: It will play PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games at HD resolutions; it will be region-free (meaning games purchased in, say, France, will run fine in the United States, and every PlayStation 3 will come with an upgradeable 60GB hard disk. I'm still in the cautiously optimistic stage, but the PlayStation 3 is shaping up to be quite interesting
