Kaseya offers the Kaseya User State Management (KUSM) module for Kaseya Professional Edition. With this add-on module and Intel's vPro technology, you can create policies to remotely manage and automate PCs' and laptops' power modes (i.e., turn off monitor, turn off hard disk, system standby, and system hibernate) to promote energy conservation. Computers can be configured to power on for routine off-hour IT tasks, such as performing backups and installing software updates and patches. The five gauges in the module's Power Status Dashboard let you see at a glance how many machines conform, don't conform, or don't support the power policy you specify using a drop-down list.

You can control how long laptops wait before going into a power mode based on whether they're plugged in or running on batteries. You can also configure low-battery and critical-battery alarms, which are determined by the power level you specify. Besides receiving an audio or visual notification when a battery's power reaches a low or critical level, you can have the machine automatically hibernate, standby, or shut down, even if a program stops responding.

The KUSM module lets you define and deploy group policies for more than just power settings. You can, for example, define and deploy printer mappings, drive mappings, and desktop standards. For more information about the KUSM module, contact Kaseya at 415-694-5700 or visit the Kaseya website.
