For the best performance, try to stick to a family of wireless LAN (WLAN) products from one vendor. Vendors design families of products to work together, and these packages typically include everything you need—wireless adapters, Access Points (APs), utility software, and, if necessary, antennae and remote power supplies. With a complementary suite of products, you can take advantage of proprietary features that might include robust diagnostics, centralized management, and improved security. Current AP models have a flexible configuration that supports a variety of networking deployment scenarios.
