Antivirus/Server Side

Like Symantec's Norton AntiVirus on the client side, Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition dominated the antivirus field on the server side, capturing more than 50 percent of the vote and winning the Best Antivirus/Server Side award for the second straight year. AntiVirus Corporate provides scalable, cross-platform virus protection for workstations and network servers throughout the enterprise. The software enables centralized configuration, deployment, policy management, and reporting and lets you audit the network to determine which nodes are vulnerable to virus attacks. You can manage client and server groups logically and create, deploy, and lock down security policies and settings.

AntiVirus Corporate provides virus detection, analysis, and repairs; it detects unwanted spyware and adware and helps you determine the source of blended threats spread through open file shares. The software prevents client systems from being used for malicious outbound activities, such as sending worms via email, and lets you configure automatic updates for virus definitions. AntiVirus Corporate also lets you ensure that mobile and remote systems connecting to corporate resources through a VPN are compliant with security policies.
