Win32_OperatingSystem class method "Reboot" or "Shutdown" from a call to the ExecMethod routine in C++. This method works fine using VBScript. But in C++ or through the WMI CIM Studio, the method returns an error of: Could not execute the method. You do not have the required security privileges to perform this action. I'm calling this for the local machine and I know I have the privileges for this method. Also I have run the WMI snapin wmimgmt.msc to make sure privileges aren't an issue in my namespace. I've also investigated the calls to the CoInitialize, CoInitializeSecurity, and CoSetProxyBlanket and have been unsuccessful. Any ideas?
